Photoshoots
We’re in the process of arranging several photoshoots with a few models and non-models alike. We have a Trash the Dress booked for June, should be interesting! As I like to keep my hand in and twitchy after a few days of R and R. I arranged with Suzie to shoot some pictures in our studio as a warm up for a couple of shoots we have arranged with bridal dress designers. Suzie is just fabulous and as she hasn’t had a fashion shoot for more than a year due to her studies at Uni, she was delighted to take part as she’s keen to do more modelling in the future. So if your interested in modelling and want know what we can do for you call or email.

We had an absolutely great day at the Ayrshire Wedding show today, and enjoyed talking to everyone who took the time to speak to us about their wedding plans. If you were one, then get in touch and come and have an other chat at our studio. As you’ve probably found wedding shows are great for seeing everything but can be really busy. As your wedding photography is one of the only things on the day that you’ll have to look back on then please arrange an appointment for a more detailed look at our albums and services.
Our new Wedding Box set will be available to view in a week or so. So if you’re looking for a different and unique look to your wedding day you’ll probably want to have a look at these. We can assure you no other photographer will offer you them.
The Scottish Wedding Show at the SECC
I hope you were impressed by the quality and clarity of our large format prints of Cherish and Trash the Dress prints as well as our wedding albums. If you were looking closely at our prints you would have noticed that the image of Caitlin in the water is so sharp you can actually count her eye lashes. If you don’t believe me please phone for an appointment to view some of our albums and you can count them for yourself!
If you’re feeling a little confused by our range of products we will be delighted to hear from you and to discuss your requirements in more detail. Please remember all wedding photographers are not the same! We like fun, natural images as well as the posed images for your album.
New print box for those who don’t want an album but are interested in a book and images on CD. For those of you who book in October we will continue to offer 20 of our ‘unique comic’ thank you cards free of charge. To learn more we suggest you see our distinctive approach to our brochure! We like to be different from the run of the mill. We endevour to take images that can be in your album and also made into large ‘fine art’ prints that you’d love to hang on your wall.
A new product that wasn’t at the show sadly, is a Signing Book, which is printed to allow guests to sign around the margins of the prints in the book. This product will available within a few weeks and will now be available to all clients who book a pre-wedding photoshoot, even if we are not your chosen photographer. The pre-wedding photoshoot is free for all clients who do book our services.
A word of advice to all couples who have not yet chosen a photographer - do so now! We spoke to several couples who were still undecided and some who had left it to the last minute. We had to turn away 2 couples because we were booked for next year in June and July on their dates. I hope the managed to find a photographer but when I spoke to them they had already spoken to several and were out of luck. You should always book your photographer as early as possible, around the same time you book your venue. There is nothing to be gained by delaying your choice, in fact the longer you leave it the more expensive it will become! Our prices will rise in January 2011. If you book with us now we fix your price even if your wedding is 2012. We do not increase the prices like many other photographers, unless you change your wedding photography package to another one.

If you have any questions please get in touch and I’ll be delighted to answer them for you. One last thing we travel, yes really we do and we are more than able to travel to ‘Dundee’ or ‘Timbuctoo’ or for that matter anywhere else in the world for your wedding. We are approximately 30 minutes from Glasgow, easy to find and are not restricted to our local area. If your wedding is in Scotland we might be able to provide you with a pre-wedding shoot on location at your chosen venue for just the cost of the petrol to get there and back. This would normally be done subject to availability and permission from your venue organiser.

Our online wedding albums (here) have been taking a lot of hits online within the past couple of days. Hopefully you appreciate them: )
New black and white album due to be published online this weekend or early next week at the latest. Check back to view. This album will be shown in two sizes at the SECC Wedding Show.
Both albums will be ivory/white, one will be a 20 page 10x10 inch album and the other a smaller 40 page 8x8 inch album. They are also available in black.
We are constantly asked about black and white pictures, so we have decided to show two albums of the same wedding in different sizes in monochrome only. Naturally both these albums could be in colour or a mixture of colour and black and white, if you prefer.
At the SECC Wedding Show we will be offering some super offers!
• 10 x 10 inch 20 page album in monochrome and an identical 8 x 8 inch album in colour. Or if you prefer vice versa.

Well girls you’ve had the Prom and now you want to wear the dress at least one more time. Only this time you’ll be more relaxed in front of the camera and a star for the day. We are offering Prom Dress Photoshoots to those individuals who want o get a little more out of their beautiful Prom dress. We are offering several packages form as simple as a prints to a full blown photoshoot on location or in studio with a high quality photobook and large format prints available. The shoots will be anything form an hour to a full day and can include other dresses as appropriate. Below are pictures of Ashleigh on location photographed during a recent photoshoot combining both fashion and Prom dress in the one shoot. I’m sure you’ll like them Ashleigh loves them: ) If you want to do the same please get in touch, as all photoshoots need to be planned well in advance.
Trash, Cherish and Fashion Shoot
Last Friday we had a Cherish and Trash shoot in the country and at the beach, had an absolutely great time. Weather was super and the water was warm: ) then on Sunday a Cherish, Trash and Fashion shoot, had super time again with some of the sunniest weather we’ve had in a while. See What I mean.
Wedding Dress Shoot
Had a great but cold day at St Andrew’s in the Square with our models Zoe, Lesley and Sophie. Well done girls the pics are brilliant! Thanks should also go to Sian for the makeup and Ruth for the hair, Moira and Bill from Glitterati, Andy, Jamie and May for their help and assistance and finally thanks should also be given to Veronica who organises the venue for weddings and other functions at St Andrew’s in the Square. They all did a brilliant job.
We were firmly on the tourist route in Glasgow and while I was photographing the girls, the tourists were photographing us! One or two of the locals were also on hand to give us their support during the shoot.

Wedding Dress shoot
Wedding dress photo shoot coming off in a few weeks time with Glitterati Designer Gowns in Glasgow. Two models are confirmed for the shoot taking place on location. We’d like three if possible! We have a third in mind but like most things only if she is available. So if you want to be considered then get in touch as soon as possible. We can’t guarantee to use you this time but if you’ve had your photographs taken by us before then you will be considered for future use. So new models take note answer your email as soon as or you’ll miss out.

Trash the Dress
Well not quite, more a photoshoot than outright destruction. We expect the dress to get dirty and possibly wet, who knows perhaps more. What we are hoping for is a set of pictures that can be made into a large photobook and large high quality prints. Makeup artist Lynsey Ferguson will be attending to the girls makeup, stay tuned for more. Yes the shovel will be there!
Photoshoots
We are pleased to say that Lynsey Ferguson is; depending on availability; going to make sure that the makeup for a forth coming Trash the Dress shot is spot on and just so. The past few shoots have proved to me that when photographing pretty young ladies (tough job but some ones got to do it : ) the makeup has to be perfect. Shiny faces just don’t cut it, the eyes have to keep your attention and make you look and look again! Trash the Dress and Cherish your Dress
So far we have five models, two dresses a car a rather nice Porsche 911 (mine) and a shovel. We need a little more and then it all happens. The pictures will feature in the new website FT Models and a few will feature at the Scottish Wedding Show at the SECC. If you’re wondering what the shovel is for then you’ll just have to wait and see!

My thanks to Kay, Gillian, Lauren and Andrea for a busy afternoon. Lots and lots of pictures and I’m glad you all had a great time. Our 4 first time models were a little nervous at the start but soon got into the swing of things and we got some cracking photographs. I’m already looking forward to the next session and the Trash the Dress, Cherish your Dress shoot.
Models Wanted
We are looking for new faces to feature in few photo shoots we have in mind within the next few months. The shoots will initially be portraits in studio then if all goes to plan of a bridal nature - Trash the Dress and Cherish your Dress. We are also looking for images to use for school prom promotion. Groups of 3 or 4 friends would be ideal.
