Photoshoot
Studio Fashion Photoshoot with Genna on Thursday: ) This is a wee shoot to get Genna back in the swing of things before we do another couple of photoshoots. She’s a great model to work with and I’m hoping to try out a few beauty images as well.
Pre-Wedding Shoot
Just returned from Dalhousie Castle in Midlothian from a pre-wedding photoshoot with Shona and David who flew in from London yesterday. We had a good look around the venue and it is magnificent with lots of photo opportunities. So even if the Scottish weather does play up on the day, we’ll still have lots of scope to set up some really super pictures.

Trash, Cherish and Fashion Shoot
Last Friday we had a Cherish and Trash shoot in the country and at the beach, had an absolutely great time. Weather was super and the water was warm: ) then on Sunday a Cherish, Trash and Fashion shoot, had super time again with some of the sunniest weather we’ve had in a while. See What I mean.
New Products
We are now offering training sessions to any couples who are not sure about what they want from their wedding photographer. Naturally some of us are shy and like to fade into the background. However this is impossible to do on your wedding day as you’ll both be the centre of attention. So why not sign up for a photoshoot with a difference! We’ll show you how to pose for all those ‘natural’ pictures that you’ve seen in magazines. Don’t tell anyone but most of the ‘natural’ pictures you’ve seen in magazines are carefully staged. So if your nervous and hate getting a camera pointed at you then this session is for you, yes seriously. It will give you confidence and allow you to be natural and less stiff looking in your wedding pictures. The cost is half price at the moment at £69 and you can take home all the ideas and practise them in the comfort of your own home.
Why are we doing this? So far we’ve offered this service to some couples on an adhoc basis. From a photographers point of view it is a delight to work with any one who has undergone some of the training we have given them. Everyone shows more confidence and more importantly they genuinely enjoy their day; after all it will be one less thing to worry about. We originally began this working with new inexperienced models, training young ladies how to pose and project themselves for the camera. This has been highly successful and several of them have been involved in various photoshoots with at least one model signing with an agency. We expect that several others, if they are determined enough will follow suit. Just like Suzie below!
Wedding Dress Shoot
Had a great but cold day at St Andrew’s in the Square with our models Zoe, Lesley and Sophie. Well done girls the pics are brilliant! Thanks should also go to Sian for the makeup and Ruth for the hair, Moira and Bill from Glitterati, Andy, Jamie and May for their help and assistance and finally thanks should also be given to Veronica who organises the venue for weddings and other functions at St Andrew’s in the Square. They all did a brilliant job.
We were firmly on the tourist route in Glasgow and while I was photographing the girls, the tourists were photographing us! One or two of the locals were also on hand to give us their support during the shoot.

Prom Photoshoot
Booked for a prom dress photoshoot at Lochside House Hotel this Sunday. Two models have just confirmed. Holly and Caitlin, hoping to have a 3rd model.

Suzie recently had her first modeling session. What should have been a 2 hour session lasted much longer! She had a great time and is an absolutely fabulous girl to work with. Her friend Ruth Lightbody assisted with her hair and helped us pull of some fantastic pictures, thanks Ruth. Hope too see you both soon!
Fashion Shoot

More models this time the gorgeous Hannah was here for a couple of hours. She’ll be back on Sunday for a longer session with more outfits and we can’t wait. Gorgeous figure, beautiful eyes and clear skin, oh and I should mention a lovely personality!
Modeling
More models sorry but this has to stop Why because all our models are moving away to our dedicated site FT Models as soon as I can get it up and running. This site is in danger of being over run but beautiful young ladies willing to take up our offer for modeling ;-D However before it all moves we have one or two still to show what they can do. Today we had the gorgeous Caitlin showing that she’s one of Britains Next Top Model! Loads of great pictures and we both had a super time, see you soon! Two great shoots in two days phew! Oh and Caitlin and Lesley are coming back for more on the same day... smokin’.
Modeling
Had a great fashion shoot with Lesley today. The weather was typically Scottish wet and overcast so the ‘Trash the Dress’ shoot had to be cancelled. However all was not lost, as we both had a great time and produced some super images from a few hour a lot of work and a few changes of outfits. Lesley is a ‘**STAR**’ and a delight to work with. The pics rock and will be posted for her very soon. Here is a sample.
Wedding Dress shoot
Wedding dress photo shoot coming off in a few weeks time with Glitterati Designer Gowns in Glasgow. Two models are confirmed for the shoot taking place on location. We’d like three if possible! We have a third in mind but like most things only if she is available. So if you want to be considered then get in touch as soon as possible. We can’t guarantee to use you this time but if you’ve had your photographs taken by us before then you will be considered for future use. So new models take note answer your email as soon as or you’ll miss out.

The gorgeous Lesley took part in a studio photo shoot today. The pictures are absolutely stunning and we’re looking forward to her next shoot!

Trash the Dress
The weather was at times horrible, wet and a wee bit windy, at least the wind was warm. We all had fun, even though the photographer wasn’t happy with the weather - c’est la vie! Had a great time though, Leanne and Fiona were wonderful. Colin ‘there’s been a murder Jim’ ‘the body’ was a great help and played ‘the body’ well. He would have been even better if we could have floated him out to sea face down though! Here’s a couple of pictures from the shoot. The shovel stars in at least one of the pics, it’ll be posted as soon as I have more time.

Smokey Eyes Makeup Photoshoot

Model
Has agreed to take part in a shoot coming off very soon. She’s tall, slim and very beautiful and would love to do a ‘Trash the Dress shoot’. We’ll keep you posted, oh, and the shovel arrived yesterday.
Photoshoots
We are pleased to say that Lynsey Ferguson is; depending on availability; going to make sure that the makeup for a forth coming Trash the Dress shot is spot on and just so. The past few shoots have proved to me that when photographing pretty young ladies (tough job but some ones got to do it : ) the makeup has to be perfect. Shiny faces just don’t cut it, the eyes have to keep your attention and make you look and look again! Fifi
Well, what can you say except va va voom! She’s gone from feeling awkward and a little shy (yes even you Fiona). To a young lady full of self confidence and is an absolute stunner. Well done Fifi, FHM will be calling. Oh, here’s another couple!
Trash the Dress and Cherish your Dress
So far we have five models, two dresses a car a rather nice Porsche 911 (mine) and a shovel. We need a little more and then it all happens. The pictures will feature in the new website FT Models and a few will feature at the Scottish Wedding Show at the SECC. If you’re wondering what the shovel is for then you’ll just have to wait and see!
New Website
There’s a new website coming soon. FT Models - First Time Models. The picture above is a mockup of a magazine cover. It will feature all new models/ brides, brides to be and will be updated as and when I get the time or the new faces through the door. It will also feature our Weddings, Trash the Dress shoots, Cherish your Dress, Portraits, Beauty etc. exclusive interviews / bio’s with our partners and anyone in the wedding business. However it won’t feature other photographers, strangely enough, unless we forge links with them! Sorry guys and girls it’s nothing personal, it’s a business thing!
Model
First the bad news Fiona aka ‘Fifi Momo’ arrived without her outfits and we couldn’t take the pictures. We managed to take a few head shots, not very inspiring! The good news she’s arriving on Thursday with several oufits - looking forward to that already. Thanks ‘Fifi’.
Some facts about this young lady:
1. She hardly ever stops smiling or talking as this photo reveals she is about to ‘corpse’ (laugh) again.
2. She referee’s at football matches! Any footballers that give Fifi any lip will find themselves subjected to “So your free after the match why don’t you buy me a drink (non-alcoholic) and we’ll (substitute - I’ll) talk about this. ; )
3. Is studying medicine and will become a doctor one day in the not to distant future.
4. Changes boyfriends almost on a daily basis, well not quite, but nearly!
5. As mad as a ‘hatter’ - as Kenny Everett used to say “but in the nicest possible way” : )) See you soon Fiona.

My thanks to Kay, Gillian, Lauren and Andrea for a busy afternoon. Lots and lots of pictures and I’m glad you all had a great time. Our 4 first time models were a little nervous at the start but soon got into the swing of things and we got some cracking photographs. I’m already looking forward to the next session and the Trash the Dress, Cherish your Dress shoot.
