Scottish Wedding Show - We’ll be there on stand 408A, will you? Come and visit our stand and get some great offers. If you’ve had a look at the newly updated website, then you’ll already have found one. We’ll also be showing our new Tarka album at the show, so come and have a look. Talking of albums we’ll be offering clients the choice of the superb Australian Jorgensen Albums in the very near future (sadly not in time for the show). These are top of the range albums and sit well with our Apertura and Contemporary Range, more on these later.
We now have a dedicated area, away from the main site which provides details of our album range, prices and coverage. This is we hope less confusing than our previous price listings. We exhibited them as a new product at the SECC Wedding Show a few weeks ago, a Pre-wedding Photoshoot Guest Book. They provided plenty of interest at the show and are proving extremely popular with our brides to be, along with our Comic Books!
So if you’d like something unique and very special to your wedding day, why not come along and speak to us at the next wedding show. They are available in a variety of sizes and should go down a treat with the guests at the reception. We also intend to offer a Comic version for those who’d like something that wee bit different. So watch this space!

New products on display and as a very special treat celebrating our 10th year in business we are offering a genuine 20% discount on all our prices. Visit us on stand 453C and pick up one of our detailed price lists. This offer will not be repeated and is available for the duration of the show only. Offers end Sunday 20th February at 6pm.
Products
Our wedding photography product list is presently being updated. We now offer more choices of albums and books than ever and we’ll be showing some of them at the SECC Wedding Show. The number of albums and books available is a staggering 160 different choices, and that’s before we include different colours! We will be offering albums from 8 inches x 6 inches (A5 approximately) up to 12 inches x 16 inches (A3 approximately). Books from 8 inches x 8 inches up to 14 inches x 10 inches. We think we have something for everyone. All our prices are reduced by 10% across the board until the end of February. If you have a budget then let us know and we’ll see what we can do for you within your budget.

We had an absolutely great day at the Ayrshire Wedding show today, and enjoyed talking to everyone who took the time to speak to us about their wedding plans. If you were one, then get in touch and come and have an other chat at our studio. As you’ve probably found wedding shows are great for seeing everything but can be really busy. As your wedding photography is one of the only things on the day that you’ll have to look back on then please arrange an appointment for a more detailed look at our albums and services.
Our new Wedding Box set will be available to view in a week or so. So if you’re looking for a different and unique look to your wedding day you’ll probably want to have a look at these. We can assure you no other photographer will offer you them.

Each Boxed Set of Books are supplied in a unique Wedding Box.
Photo Guest Book.
The Guest Book is a high quality press printed* 20 page 12 x 12 book featuring 20 images from your pre-wedding photoshoot. Each image is presented as a 6 x 6 square image on each page. The white border that surrounds each page is available for all your guests to sign and leave a personal message and greeting.
Wedding Album Book.
The Wedding Album Book is the same high quality 20 page 12 x 12 book as above. This time featuring 20 large (12 x 12) images from your wedding day.
Comic Book.
The last book in the box is your Comic Book and is a high quality press printed* 20 page 12 x 12 book featuring some of the images from your wedding day, that perhaps didn’t make it into the Album or Album Book.
Copies of all or any of the books above will also be available both in the original size or as smaller versions for parents etc. at very favourable prices.

The Scottish Wedding Show at the SECC
I hope you were impressed by the quality and clarity of our large format prints of Cherish and Trash the Dress prints as well as our wedding albums. If you were looking closely at our prints you would have noticed that the image of Caitlin in the water is so sharp you can actually count her eye lashes. If you don’t believe me please phone for an appointment to view some of our albums and you can count them for yourself!
If you’re feeling a little confused by our range of products we will be delighted to hear from you and to discuss your requirements in more detail. Please remember all wedding photographers are not the same! We like fun, natural images as well as the posed images for your album.
New print box for those who don’t want an album but are interested in a book and images on CD. For those of you who book in October we will continue to offer 20 of our ‘unique comic’ thank you cards free of charge. To learn more we suggest you see our distinctive approach to our brochure! We like to be different from the run of the mill. We endevour to take images that can be in your album and also made into large ‘fine art’ prints that you’d love to hang on your wall.
A new product that wasn’t at the show sadly, is a Signing Book, which is printed to allow guests to sign around the margins of the prints in the book. This product will available within a few weeks and will now be available to all clients who book a pre-wedding photoshoot, even if we are not your chosen photographer. The pre-wedding photoshoot is free for all clients who do book our services.
A word of advice to all couples who have not yet chosen a photographer - do so now! We spoke to several couples who were still undecided and some who had left it to the last minute. We had to turn away 2 couples because we were booked for next year in June and July on their dates. I hope the managed to find a photographer but when I spoke to them they had already spoken to several and were out of luck. You should always book your photographer as early as possible, around the same time you book your venue. There is nothing to be gained by delaying your choice, in fact the longer you leave it the more expensive it will become! Our prices will rise in January 2011. If you book with us now we fix your price even if your wedding is 2012. We do not increase the prices like many other photographers, unless you change your wedding photography package to another one.

If you have any questions please get in touch and I’ll be delighted to answer them for you. One last thing we travel, yes really we do and we are more than able to travel to ‘Dundee’ or ‘Timbuctoo’ or for that matter anywhere else in the world for your wedding. We are approximately 30 minutes from Glasgow, easy to find and are not restricted to our local area. If your wedding is in Scotland we might be able to provide you with a pre-wedding shoot on location at your chosen venue for just the cost of the petrol to get there and back. This would normally be done subject to availability and permission from your venue organiser.

Our online wedding albums (here) have been taking a lot of hits online within the past couple of days. Hopefully you appreciate them: )
New black and white album due to be published online this weekend or early next week at the latest. Check back to view. This album will be shown in two sizes at the SECC Wedding Show.
Both albums will be ivory/white, one will be a 20 page 10x10 inch album and the other a smaller 40 page 8x8 inch album. They are also available in black.
We are constantly asked about black and white pictures, so we have decided to show two albums of the same wedding in different sizes in monochrome only. Naturally both these albums could be in colour or a mixture of colour and black and white, if you prefer.
At the SECC Wedding Show we will be offering some super offers!
• 10 x 10 inch 20 page album in monochrome and an identical 8 x 8 inch album in colour. Or if you prefer vice versa.

Wedding Fayre

Web site is due for an update within the next few months or so. Wee bit busy at the moment so it’ll have to wait a bit. Should be easier to navigate and will have more to offer in terms of our products and services. Older products sadly are being phased out or scaled down to meet changing demands. Traditional albums will still be available but to special order only when existing stocks are gone. Increasingly we have seen more interest in storybook and contemporary albums than in our traditional range. We will be offering more storybook albums, and books either in place of or as part of a wedding package, samples will be available later in the year. We’ll be offering these products showcasing storybook style weddings at the SECC later in the Autumn. So if your interested in an album with a difference and you want the full day covered then come and speak to us on our stand tomorrow.

Just imagine your big day, you’ve spent lots of time and a whole lot of effort to make everything perfect. Florist, venue, cards, cake ‘the full Monty’. Then you discover that the choice of photographer wasn’t quite what you expected. You maybe thought it was the one area where you could cut a few corners, after all ‘who would notice’. A friend said he or she would do it, or perhaps they knew someone who could help after all they had a good camera. Oops, things went a wee bit wrong, some of the pictures didn’t come out. ‘the flash wasn’t working’, ‘the sun was in the wrong place’, ‘the bridesmaid was told not to move’. Now you’re asking yourself was it worth the least expensive option, after all ‘who would notice’! Better get in touch soon just in case! We’ll certainly make sure this doesn’t happen to you! Thanks to everyone who visited our stand, we had a lovely time speaking to you all and I hope we can be of service at some point in the future. We’ll be at the SECC in February with an even bigger stand and showing more of our work. We had a lots of interest and enquiries about the Multi Media Package which includes HD Video. We’ll have more on this at the SECC and a few special offers. Also we’ll be looking very closely at our competitors offers and giving you even better value than them. SECC Wedding Show
We had an absolutely sensational show on both Saturday and Sunday. Loads and loads of enquiries so much so that we nearly ran out of Brochures on Saturday and my apologies to those on Sunday for the rather poor quality of the brochures you received. We had to print lots more as quickly as possible on Saturday evening to cope. Even though we printed more, lots more even they disappeared and were flying off the stand! Next time I’ll think of a number and double it

I managed to sneak away on Sunday and take some pictures of the catwalk show for Glitterati, I took a few pics of the guys as well, just for practise! New camera EOS 5Dmk2 super quality even at high ISO for those of you who might be interested. The shots above are all available light, this camera has already been used at weddings and allows us to do HD Video of selected parts of the wedding and is great for the first dance at the reception when the light is very low, allowing us to capture the action and without spoiling the atmosphere with flash! We are now taking bookings for 2011 and will be offering free multimedia DVD’s to any clients booking before the 1st of January 2011. The DVD’s contain selected clips from the wedding shot with the above camera.
We’d also like to express our thanks to Caitlin our lovely assistant on Sunday who helped out on our stand and was super! Thanks Caitlin you’re a star even though you eat all the cake you promised me, the lemon flavour was probably delicious
