Here are some commonly asked questions and replies.

Q. I'm looking for prices for wedding photography could you give me an idea of yours?
A. Our prices are very competitive and start at £899. We offer a range of products and price them accordingly. To give you a better quote you'll need to give us a better idea of your requirements and we'd like to meet with you and discuss what you have in mind, so please email or call for an appointment.
Q. When is your next 'Trash the Dress' photoshoot?
A. Date is still to be arranged but is likely to be in July this year, the water should be warmer: )
Q. Do you increase your prices if the wedding is next year and if so by how much?
A. No, we don't increase our prices unlike many others, when you pay the booking fee your price becomes fixed unless you want to upgrade your album or services.
Q. Do you have any new album designs for 2010?
A. We are constantly looking for and updating our albums. We have a few new styles coming in the near future and will be offering these on our website.
Q. How much time do you spend taking photographs at the wedding?

A. Anything from 2 to 3 hours for our smaller 'traditional albums' to a full day (up to the 3rd dance) for our 'Contemporary or Storybook albums'.
Q. How many pictures can I have in my Contemporary or Storybook album?
A. How many do you want? We recommend around 80 to 100 maximum, too many and the album looks too busy. However we leave that decision up to you.
Q. Do you shoot video or offer a video service?
A. Yes, we shoot HD for our Multi media packages and standard video for our full video coverage packages. Separate video services start at £499. We also offer selected video clips of highlights of the day, presented as a multimedia presentation. We do not offer a video and stills combined package except our multimedia packages.
Q. Do you do video diary style work for our guests to come and comment on the day for our DVD?
A. Yes. Either as a separate service or as part of our wedding video packages.
Q. Can I have lots of pictures in black and white.
A. Yes, as many as you like, there is no additional charge.
Q. How long do you take to provide my album after the wedding?
A. As soon as you have made your choice of images and approved the layouts, about 4 to 6 weeks.
Q. Do you offer a pre-wedding shoot?
A. Yes, it's free to all clients who book either a Storybook or Contemporary album.
Q. What is a 'photo training session'?
A. We teach you how to model, you'll learn that your wedding photography isn't something to be afraid of and that it's actually good fun!
Q. We're having a small wedding with a few guests and don't want many photographs, what album would you recommend?
A. If you don't want a lot of photographs taken, with perhaps only a few group shots then our 'Delos albums' would probably suit you best.
Q. Can we come and view a complete wedding album?
A. Yes certainly, most, if not all our albums illustrate a particular wedding.
Q. Do you allow wedding guests to take pictures when the group shots are being taken? Some photographers don't allow this!
A. Yes we positively encourage them to, so long as proceedings aren't held up.
Q. Can you provide the images on CD?
A. Yes we can. Either as a separate package or part of an existing wedding package. Our price depends on the album package chosen. We don't double charge for work already done to your pictures.
Q What sizes of albums do you offer?
A. Any size from 10 pages at 4 x 5 inches up to 80 pages at A3.
Q. Can we purchase framed prints?
A. Yes what size of print would you like? We are able to print up to 36 inches x 24 inches ( 1m x 0.6m) in house, we can also supply larger prints.
Q. You offer wedding event photography, what is that?
A. We photograph you and your guests in a mini studio setting at the venue (permission must be obtained), serious or fun pictures. We provide the photography, you provide the poses - think 'Charlies Angels'.
Q. I don't really know what I want from my wedding photographer, can you help?
A. Yes, we'll explain what you should be looking for and how you can help them get the best from your big day!
Q. How do we view our pictures?
A. We put the pictures online and only allow your guests to view them with your permission. We can provide you at extra cost a printed preview album.
Q. Can our guests buy prints?
A. Yes they can order them online and pay via PayPal.
Q. Can you price match other photographers?
A. In some cases yes, however, not in every case!
Q. Wedding photography is expensive wouldn't you agree?
A. Seems that way at first glance, yes. However when you take into consideration the time taken then it's very reasonable. Most people think it's just a lot of money for a couple of hours work. Sadly that's not the case anymore. New technology, costs more than traditional film technology and your paying for all the editing, design work etc. that goes on after the wedding. I can of course turn up at the wedding with a couple of rolls of film and give you a choice of 20 pictures from 32 if you prefer!
Q. You mentioned film, would it be possible to have some of the pictures shot on film rather than digital?
A. Yes I still use film for most of my own work and I'm perfectly happy to shoot pictures with my Hasselblad.
Q. We've had our wedding photographs taken abroad and wondered if you could cover an event at home for family and friends. We'd like you to take pictures and incorporate them into an album with the other pictures, can you provide that service?
A. Yes, assuming the files you supply are of a high enough resolution. Just choose an album. All images provided must be corrected for density and colour, otherwise we charge extra for this service when the images weren't taken by us.
Q. Can we have all the pictures on CD as well as an album, some photographers offer this!
A Sorry no. We could but to do so we would have to lower our standards to an unacceptable low level, as someone who cares what we provide to our clients then it wouldn't be possible as the quality of the results wouldn't be up to our standard. Regrettably we would have to let you find someone who would provide this service and hopefully you'll be happy with the results. We only offer limited numbers of images on CD, better with fewer high quality images than lots of mediocre ones!
Q. What if it rains on our big day will our wedding photography be ruined?
A. No. We've had lots of experience in dealing with Scottish weather and we now carry a Bowens portable studio flash with us along with several Quantum flash guns in case of inclement weather. All we need is a spot indoors or somewhere sheltered from the worst of the weather. Remarkably bad weather can give you fantastic dramatic images if we can get out and use it for a wee while!
Q. I've seen what looks like some of your pictures used in adverts for hotels and in the paper is this the case?
A. Yes, we have had pictures used in lots of publications and recently for wedding gowns, tiaras, flowers etc. Perhaps it's because we're so good: )
Q. Can we pay our wedding photography up in instalments?
A. Yes, we offer this service and update your invoice to show the payments.
